I can share these with no problem on a network ( it's what I want anyway).
On Network shared devices there used to be different icons denoting a share ( I think the disk had a pair of hands or something on it to denote a share).
A Padlocked item to me denotes a secured item (or have I mis-understood what a padlock is).
In this case there are only 2 drives but on other systems I might have 8 or 9 drives connected and I'd certainly like to know quickly what are "Networked" drives and what are "Local" drives.
Maybe I'm just being fussy but the Icon does seem a bit illogical.
There must be a better Icon for "Fixed Drive" .

I beleive you are correct Jimbo, those Drives must contain some files that you haven't gained permissions for yet so that's why you are seeing the padlock, I had the same thing on some folders on my external drive and I just used the take ownership shortcut to gain full permissions for the folders and the padlock disappeared.
