    unable to change folder

Arg! haha!, ok I have a folder under libraries - videos - and i named it 2009

have a few video files in there

want to reorganize my files so I delete everything in folder 2009 and want to create a folder - not an option - right click and "new folder" isn't there.

ok, just for fun I creat another folder called 200901 - add all my new subfolders under 2009 and place in my files - but I want all this data in folder 2009 not 200901

copy and paste and open 2009 - files not there! try again and it asks me to overwrite - press ok - go check, not there. But the original files are! haha! found "previous versions options" and deleted everything for previous versions. try again - no files that I can see but when i copy and paste it tells me there are already there. I don't see them. any help????

well, i actually have all other files/folders working under my videos and in the video library. except for folder 2009. i have folder set up under my videos exactly the way I want it, but when you look under libraries and videos and folder 2009, it took out all the subfolders and you see all the video files, but it's completely unorganized like i have it in my videos. crazy! Just this one folder! Anyone have an explanation?

    Hi jetjarv and welcome!

How are the permissions set in your 2009 folder? Any chance that they are different from all of your other folders and thus you are not allowed to reorganize it the way you want?

Also, what happens if you open that folder in Windows Explorer directly, without the library?

I opened my videos 2 different ways. One is os c: - users - jetjarvdell - my videos - 2009 and the other is clicking on the start menu and then the computer name jetjarv dell then my videos and then 2009. these two folders are identicle and organized the way i want it. Same folder right?

Now I click on Libraries - videos - 2009 different files. If I delete the folder 2009 from libraries I loose the folder 2009 under the way described above. Then I chose undo in the libraries and it was restored in both folders. If I right click on the 2009 folder in libraries I get 73.6gb and if I right click under my videos - 2009 I get the same 73.6gb

permissions for this 2009 folder has:

system everything is allow except for "special permissions" neither allow or deny is checked

same options for jetjarvdell and administrators.

Looking this up in windows help online there are some instructions, however it does not mention the user "wmpnetworksvc". wmpnetworksvc only has read, and if I understand correctly this is windows backup.

This is driving me crazy. folders under my computer are the same as my library right? If you delete one it deletes the other, but in libraries it only shows those certain files and can reorganize it any way i want, but when i close and reopen it defaults back to how it was. any change i make under my documents does not show up in libraries except if i delete the folder. and this is the only folder that acts this way.
