    safe to open?

I know this doesnt pertain exactly to Windows 7, but I thought people would still know. I am selling something on craigslist, and have been getting back a lot of junk emails from "people" that only talk about credit scores and stuff and post links to websites about it, nothing mentioned about what im selling. I think by now everyone should know clicking the link would be a bad idea and that its spam at best.

now, i just got a response that mentions my product for sale, but it still has a link to some website (its mentioned under the body of the message, so it might not even be there on purpose). should i reply? a copy of the email is attached

your call if it looks fishy or not, and how good your security is.

Ive only sold 1 thing on craigs list, and it has been some time back.

But at that time all the junk typically had links etc just as your describing

The LEGIT responses, gave me a email & or phone number that could be responded to.

    unless things have changed.

I would never click on a link from that type of response. Hit delete and don't worry about it. Don't let curiosity get to you.

As Wishmaster said, depending on your security it could do lots of things, from loading you with malware to just annoyances.

If someone is serious about buying your product, you won't be getting that type of response, IMO.
