unknown window in taskbar

    hi limneos, sorry for the delayed response, was out of station for some days. well there was just a blank entry in msconfig and i unchecked it to fix this problem.

    Uh oh.Might be time to scan for viruses? Been downloading anything that requires patches or cracks?

    it could be an error message. Sometimes they go ping but dont show anything. Did you hear a ping? Another way to determine what it is, is to check task manager.

    Hi Swarfega, taskmgr didnt have anything suspicious in it. Another way to fix this problem is:
    Open regedit, go to hklm>software>microsoft>windows>current version>run
    Delete the run and runonce key
