Laptop doesn't like 7068 X-64 Comsurrogate fail (Network) -- back to 7048
My Laptop doesn't like Networking in 7068 X-64 -- not sure what they've put into this build but I get Network error every time I try and connect (to a wired LAN -- wireless on Internet is fine but I MUST HAVE wired LAN access) No wired LAN is a SHOWSTOPPER for me - irrespective of the other merits (or otherwise) of this build.
Comes up with COMSURROGATE ERROR (what ever that means) and then just the incredibly informative message "An unexpected error has occurred"
Then if I try and query IP address via IPCONFIG computer just hangs and have to re-boot.
Network card driver appears to be working normally from Windows device manager.
Only takes 10 mins for me to restore old 7048 image so I'll go back to that one until some other people have perhaps sussed out what network problem is.
BTW to any network gurus WTF is COMSURROGATE ERROR.
