Flash drive download compromised all files
My daughter had her HP Pavilion lap top with Windows 7 for less than 24 hours when she tried to download xp files from her old computer using a flash drive. She then removed it without using the safely remove hardware feature. Now all of the icons on her desk top have turned to generic looking files. When she opens a file all she gets are numeric and alphabet jargon in the window. We attempted to use system restore but to no use. Anyone got any ideas?
