    Language Bar on 7068

    Hi,

Does anyone have the language bar pop up with the UAC prompt?

There is also a small keyboard icon top left of the Welcome screen.

During install , the language bar popped up when I slected Keyboard language from the drop down flap.

    Hi SIW2,

I did on the 7057 build, but not in the 7068 build so far. Did you mess around in the Region and Language area before this started?

Nothing on the Welcome screen either.

    Hi Shawn ,

I meant the other Welcome screen - the one when you boot up - just before you get to the desktop.

The only thing I did was select UK keyboard from the drop down flap, when you get to that option during install - the language bar popped up then just for a second.

It pops up with every UAC prompt.

Maybe you get it if you don't go for the US keyboard ?

I didn't get it on the other builds.

As a test, I changed just the format langauge to another language and back to my default English, and I now have this as well in the 7068 build. Looks like it is suppose to be there.

LOL. Looks you may be stuck with it now.

It appears top left of the log on screen - does it do that with you now?

Don't think they'll keep it for the final release - unless they want to annoy anyone that doesn't go with default US settings.

No, I do not have it on the log on welcome screen, but I believe it was bacause I only changed the format language and not the keyboard language.

Do you still get the language bar with the UAC prompt now you have changed back to the original language setting?

I tried changing back and forth , but it keeps coming up.

Yes, even after changing it back to default. It seems that once you make any change, you're stuck with it.

You can click on the drop down menu arrow on the language bar during the UAC black screen to adjust settings for it though.

    Hi,

Yes rt click on it gives the option to close the language bar as well - doesn't make any difference, tho.

As DA has confirmed the hashes for me, I might burn a dvd and reinstall that way - see if it cures the explorer errors.

If I just stay withn the US default during install, shouldn't get the language bar pop up.

US keyboard - what's the diff?
