Okay, Here is my input -
Click on the date and time button in taskbar, then on 'Change date and time settings'. On that window that comes up, click on 'Change date and time', then 'Change calendar settings'. Now at the bottom of this window, click on 'Reset'. This brings it back to defaults, so no day is showing on the taskbar. Reselect the options you want, and press OK on all the date and time windows. See if this brings back the right format.
Hope this helps,
Dom. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer 5735z OS Windows Seven Ultimate Ver. 6.1 Build 7600 CPU Intel Pentium dual core t4200 @2.0ghz and 800MHz fsb Motherboard Acer CathedralPeak Rev Memory 4 GB Graphics Card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays 1 CineCrystal Display HD 8ms Response Time Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard PS2 Mouse Synaptics TouchPad Case Notebook Cooling Stock Hard Drives 2 partitions: Acer C and Acerdata for the recovery partition Internet Speed Download: 3.15 mb/s Upload: 0.38 mb/s |

Last ditch, try this ~
Type 'cmd' into the start menu search, and then press 'Ctrl' + 'Shift' + 'Enter'.
Accept the UAC prompt.
Type in
sfc /scannow
and press enter. Let the scan finish.
This will probably have no affect at all. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer 5735z OS Windows Seven Ultimate Ver. 6.1 Build 7600 CPU Intel Pentium dual core t4200 @2.0ghz and 800MHz fsb Motherboard Acer CathedralPeak Rev Memory 4 GB Graphics Card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays 1 CineCrystal Display HD 8ms Response Time Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard PS2 Mouse Synaptics TouchPad Case Notebook Cooling Stock Hard Drives 2 partitions: Acer C and Acerdata for the recovery partition Internet Speed Download: 3.15 mb/s Upload: 0.38 mb/s |

Okay, how did you remove Nexus?
Just uninstalled from Control Panel, or just deleted it from the Program Files folder?
To completely remove it, you would need to use a program like this to get rid of every trace. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer 5735z OS Windows Seven Ultimate Ver. 6.1 Build 7600 CPU Intel Pentium dual core t4200 @2.0ghz and 800MHz fsb Motherboard Acer CathedralPeak Rev Memory 4 GB Graphics Card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays 1 CineCrystal Display HD 8ms Response Time Screen Resolution 1366x768 Keyboard PS2 Mouse Synaptics TouchPad Case Notebook Cooling Stock Hard Drives 2 partitions: Acer C and Acerdata for the recovery partition Internet Speed Download: 3.15 mb/s Upload: 0.38 mb/s |

Sorry, but you cannot do what you want. I take it that you want your taskbar to show 2 rows of icons in the notification area, but still retain just 2 lines for the time and date?
As a compromise, add ddd to the short date format. With the default taskbar height (single row of icons), it shows as below. However, increasing the height of the taskbar takes this back to 3 lines. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built, N/A OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit & 64-bit both SP1 CPU AMD Athlon (tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 7550 @2.5GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA770-ES3 Memory 2 x 2GB PC2-6400 (DDR2-800), Ganged Mode, (4GB total) Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB Sound Card Realtek High Definition on board solution (ALC 892) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VA1912w Widescreen (VGA) Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard (USB) Mouse Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (USB) PSU XFX Pro Series 850W Semi-Modular Case Antec NSK 4000B II Cooling 1 x 80mm Front Inlet (with filter) 1 x 120mm Rear Exhaust Hard Drives OCZ Petrol SSD 64GB SATA III
