Keyboard problems

Hey.. I didn't know where to post this but i have afew keyboard problems
When i press the hash key this comes up \
When I press the key that shows this ~ this comes up |
and when i press this | that comes up~
When I press the @ key this comes up "
And when I press this key " @ comes up

I don't know why this is.. so could someone please help me?

It sounds like your keyboard mapping is set for either another locality or another language.

Go to Control Panel/Region and Language/Keyboards and languages then click on 'Change keyboards' and see if your keyboard is correctly set for your location. If you are in the USA the keyboard should be set for US and if you're not in the US you can click the 'Add' button to add your location.
