Windows 7 Ultimate 32 BIT - clean install on new HDD

Can't see the contents in Desktop Recycle Bin

Hi all. New here. Hope someone can help.

There appears to be something wrong with my recycle bin. When I delete something, I'm asked, as usual, if I wish to move it to the recycle bin. The icon, on the desktop changes to "full". But if I open the recycle bin, there is NO content at all showing and shows zero items in the bottom left hand corner. But when I click "Empty the recycle bin", I'm asked if I want to permanently delete 77 (or whatever number) items. If I chose to permanently delete, the icon changes back to empty as it should.

So I know there is something in there, but I just can't see it. And I would really like it if I could. All in all I like Windows 7, but this issue has me buffaloed .

Thanks in advance,
Art

Hello Art, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if resetting the Recycle Bin may be able to help with this.

Hope this helps,

Oh yes, it's been this way since the first install. I did a second clean install about a month ago. (because of other issues, since resolved)

Would it have anything to do with the other hard drives? Although there doesn't appear to be any issues when I boot to the XP hard drive.

Seems fixed

Well, I went back to Brink's link and did it over again, but also did the same on my XP drive. All seems to be good now!

Thanks Brink!

That's great news Art. Yeah, you have to do it to all drives.
