No need to run 10 times. 3 or 4 at most. If you still have the problem we will try something a little more powerful.

After 2 scans, "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations".
Should I stop or continue the other 2 scans?

I would try a system restore before you uninstalled Kaspersky.

Then go here to uninstall Kaspersky. Service messages

Here is our complete tutorial on uninstall. It contains a lot of information so study the entire volume. You may want to start by trying to uninstall in safe mode.

    Hope this helps

Hi, When I uninstall Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, my gadgets go corrupt (e.g. I can only see a black box with the clock gadget, I can only see an info icon with the weather gadget, I can't see the calendar even if it is on my desktop before uninstalling KIS 2010) and TuneUp Utilities 2010 also gets corrupt because I can't access the Start Center and I can't open WMP 12 because it's corrupted too. So I have to do a System Restore to restore the corrupt stuff and restore KIS 2010 as well but I want to switch to Avira and I can't switch to Avira because of this. Please help me, hoping for a positive response. Thanks.
Do the sfc /scannow trought the command prompt and see if somme files are corrupted or not and also the CHKDISK and MEMORY DIAGNOSTIC!!!

If you just bought the PC or laptop; and your data is safely backup. It would be faster to reinstall the Win 7 then spending days trying to figure out whats going on.

    Hi francis93,

If you ever find out how to get the gadgets working, please let me know (me too!). On the other hand, have you tried to uninstall the program by going into "safe mode first"? It has helped me on a number of occasions.

    Hello Dendingo,

You have revived this dusty old thread, posted way back February when I joined this forum because of that problem.

    Read this for the solution.
