Yet it somehow doesn't work. Does it work for you? I've used some registry hacks to remove libraries from the pane, add My Documents to the pane and also to disable the search history. Maybe they managed to break the Explorer somehow? Edit2:
Hm, seems that your suggested option, rather than to expand the specific folder I click on, lands me in the folder tree when I use the favourites. Useful, but not quite the function I wanted.
