Ram issue-windows 7 32 bit

Hello forum. I can't find a solution to my problem. That is, I cannot use all my 4 gigs of ram. MyCompter shows that i have 4gigs but only 2.75gigs is usable. Could anyone please help me try and fix this?

It is normal for the 32 bit version to use less than the available physical RAM, however, it appears to be using a bit less than would be expected. Go through the BIOS and see if you have a setting for "Memory Hole" If so, enable it and recheck what it says then.

Can't find such thing as "memory hole". I've checked every option and cannot find it. My bios version is Phoenix-Award Bios if that even helps.

Radman89.you have all 4GB addressed by the system but, owing to ram licencing restrictions on a 32bit sytem you will only see approx 2.75GB usable the "unseen" memory is taken up by hardware etc

You probably don't have it then, it depends on the model of motherboard. I have two Asus motherboards which are quite similar, and one has the option, while the other doesn't.

Shot in the dark!

Go into Bios and adjust "memory apperture" for graphics card.

Start with 256mb and see if 4gb RAM starts to be addressed/seen.

Then try 128mb "mem apperture" setting.
