My PC acts the exact same as yours.
What I do when I accidentally press Sleep is, unplug the PC, open it, remove the video card, put in another one, plug it back, get monitor signal, get a bsod, reboot in safe mode, remove old graph card drivers, turn off, unplug it again, remove the video card and put it back the other one, close everything and plug back everything and install graph. card drivers again.
I know that it's tedious. If you don't have an extra graph. card, just hope that your motherboard has an on-board one. If not, just unplug the graph card and power on the PC without it. Leave it open for 5 minutes (remember, you can't plug your monitor) and close it again. Then, plug the graphic card again in hopes that you see what's going on. If you don't see anything again (no signal on monitor), then, I'm clueless.
