Win 7 64Bit 6GB (3GB usable)

    (Solved) Win 7 64Bit 6GB (3GB usable)


    i am having some problems my win 7 64 bit is using only 3GB but i have 6GB

    my System:
    CPU: i7 920
    Motherboard: GA-EX58-UD3R (rev. 1.0) F9 bios
    GPU: HD4850 Visiontek
    Ram: 3 x 2GB Corsair (cm3x2g1333c)

    Please i need any help.

    i have the latest Version F9 2010/02/06

    it did't fix it .

    I'm not certain how you fix this... There are no "Switches" or "Options" that you can apply on the install.

    Either the install recognizes the machine as 64bit compatible or it doesn't, which would lead you back to the board manufacturer.

    Maybe someone here has the same setup and can assist...

    Enable Memory Remap in your BIOS

    i checked the bios for memory remap i did not see it in bios



    i tried some other Bios for my Motherboard.
    F2 and F3 only detect 4GB but only 3GB usable
    F4 , F5, F5, F6, F8, F9 detect 6GB but only 3GB usable

    What does your Performance tab look like in Task Manager?

    check msconfig boot tab and look at maximum memory see if it's reduced below 6144 if so set it to 6144 and check max memory

    OMG know i remember i had to set it on 3GB 3 weeks ago because one of my games will not play if u have 3gb and higher. lol
