HELP! I can't enable aero in win 7

Yes before you ask, I have a GTX 285 card. I applied this blur patch that came with a windows 7 theme, and it disabled aero completley and now I can't turn it back on, even after applying the batch file that's supposed to fix it! Someone tell me how to turn aero back on!

Hi, type aero into the Start Search box, and there are a few things you can try from there.

Hello Madcat,

You can also try doing a system restore using a restore point dated before you applied the patch to undo it and hopefully fix this for you.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Also I can't seem to find dwm.exe in the list of processes even though I typed "Net start uxsms" in the cmd prompt?

Okay I figured it out, had to do a sfc /scannow and somehow that stupid batch file renamed dwm.exe to dwm.bak
