    problem with "recent"

it's the second time I faced this problem. first time I formatted my computer because of the problem. my problem is when I type "recent" in Run command and press Enter showing up a box said "C:\users\gailan\recent is not accessible. Access is denied.". help would be greatly appreciated. my OS is windows 7 64-bit

    Welcome to the forum

I have no way of knowing if this is the problem, but it is worth a try.

    I just hope it works.
    Good Luck

If it does not work do not get discouraged. On you last post you had many members giving advice, hopefully the same will happen now.

OK, now we know it was not turned off. I will see if I can find information on how it should be reapaired. Others will, also, come by.

    Have you tried:

    %SystemDrive%\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

    In your case:

    %SystemDrive%\Users\gailan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent
