Set .MKV (matroska) association to open with jetaudio?

Intersting stuff indeed...anyone know how to add an association cant find anything useful on the web...The extension I want to use is .MKV (matroska) fixed for jetaudio but each time after right clicking and using it as supposed default which is ticked it forgets the default on next use. Ther is nothing in the associations chart so I can not reassign..Help please

Open an elevated Command Prompt and Enter:

    ASSOC .mkv=JetAudio
    FTYPE JetAudio=JetAudio.exe %1 %*

This is assuming that the .EXE is JetAudio.exe if not replace it with the real .EXE

Strange. Are you sure the "Allays use the selected program to use this kind of file" is selected?

If the file have another program it tries to open with there is one more reason. It could be the other software is locking in the file association to itself. If that is you would need to go into that program and deselect .MKV from the list.
