All Program icons look like a piece of paper??? Hi,
Recently I changed all administrative rights on my computer to be able to install a work related system. Once I rebooted and came back up all of my icons are blank piece of paper with the corner turned over and stuff in the middle. IE is still the correct "e", my antivirus is correct, but other than that all programs have changed to the blank paper icon.
Thank you for your help in advance! | My System Specs |

This is a relatively common problem. If you still have problems, just post again and you will be given assistance.
After everything is just the way you want it, make a sytem restore point, with a name with some meaning to you, like " Everything changed and good"
You may, also, want to make a system image after the changes, this way if you have future problems they will be very easy to resolve. Wish you luck.

Thank you both for you help on this, but this did not fix my problem. It changed the icons in my task bar only, from a piece of paper to what looks like a screen shot of explorer. Icons on my desktop remain the same. | My System Specs

Desktop Icons - Change or Restore Default Icon
Maybe this will do the trick.
Always make a system restore before attempting repairs. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

Good call, but yes I did refresh my desktop along with rebooting. Do you think this has anything to do with the administrative rights? | My System Specs
