    Have to keep signing in?

New to Win 7 but can't figure out why, when I leave my laptop inactive for a period of time I HAVE to enter my password again and again.

I have no screen saver set so don't understand which setting controls this? Is there a "sleep" mode or something I haven't found yet?

    Thanks.

Hi, go to Control Panel/ Power Options and Require a Password on Wakeup/, Change settings that are unavailable at the moment, change it from there.

Do you mean signining in to the website or logging into your computer?

    Thanks folks.

It was the Power Management option.

And after having to look for that I found the many options that I couldn't figure out where they were in Control Panel.

Wish HP had shown that as the default instead of the six or seven icons that were all I saw originally.

    Thanks again.
