    Touch capability

    I was watching the PDC demo again and remembered the system being more touch friendly. Now, I understand they demo'd this on a HP TouchSmart, but from her description, I took it as that it could be done with any touchscreen via mouse bindings. Is that how anyone else took it, because I have a little HP L5006tm and it's not exactly acting all fancy

    most likely the the touchsmart also support multitouch using alpha (read pre-beta drivers)
    with win 7
    ive read on and it does not allow for multitouch bindings
    touchscreen is usable for your monitor and it should work great just not the flashy stuff
    it all depends on the hardware
    as for the mouse bindings idea
    i dont know the nessary api's i wouldnt know where to even lead you ....lol
    good idea

    I was using the touch feature on my Dad's HP touchsmart computer, which is running Vista and it worked really well. However there wasn't the multiscroll thing like we've seen on the 7 previews, and I couldn't seem to find any program that actually allowed the touch to work, so I'm wondering if he'd be able to upgrade?

    Well, I looked at it some more, and it does the flicks and what not for Tablet input. So I guess that the difference between a touchsmart pc and a tablet is the stylus. I guess if I could get the touchscreen to send tablet input instead of emulating a mouse, it would work. I'm assuming that the touchsmart pc is all drivers for the monitor and then it's just a regular PC, if I could install these drivers on a "normal" touchscreen, maybe it would work, but then again everything might be purple or something

    @jackdelare
    there should be some here
    NextWindow's Windows Driver Download
    just read on and see if it matches your model

    @waymack91xj
    there are also other differences...
    like if it has capacitive or resistive touch
    resistive's pc are one's that are usually grainy
    i myself know since i own one which is embedded in my tx2500z
    wacom from i know relies on resistive touch while n-trig uses capacitive touch (read i-phone style touch)
    i dont know for any else and i am research on the nextwindow which is used on the touchsmart...
    also it whether there stylus support on the pc...
    the thing is wacom their pens use electromagnetics or something like from what i read and also have first hand (i broke my stylus...lol)
    i dont know for the rest since i havent tried them...
    hope this can clear you up...

    please help

    Hi waymack91xj,

    Does your L5006tm monitor work with stylus? Someone complained that his L5006tm monitor does not work with stylus. Below is a link to a forum where people complain about that:

    Thanks.
