Windows 7 - "Server Busy" dialogue freeezes machine.

Win7 Pro-64bit

"Server Busy" dialogue freeezes machine.

Running Win7Pro 64bit.

Trying to import TWAIN from camera/scanner through PhotoPlusX3 I receive a message,
"This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose "Switch to" to activate the busy program and correct the problem".

Choosing "Switch to" only takes me to the "Start" menu with no program shown as active.
The dialogue box remains on the screen with the open Photo PlusX3. The "cancel" button is grayed out and the only way of exiting the program is to shut it down through Task manager. No other program is shown active in Taskmanager except PhotoPlusX3.

Any ideas?

Any fixes?

Thanks
Sic
