Hey Bigboxes ... The reason is cause when I do the custom build the icons will be on the desktop or should I say should be on the desktop if everything goes right. I'm creating a build where while your installing windows 7 (I'm upgrading from RC1 to RTM) my theme and icons will be installing as well.

So, these are custom themes and icons? (not Windows 7 default ones)

Thanks. Makes sense now. I build custom machines myself, but was wondering the reasoning beyond just the method.

not a custom build pc but more of the look of Windows Installation. Putting your own images instead of the default pics.

Desktop Computer icon replicates itself
OK, this is apparently a weird problem. I can't seem to find a thread addressing it. The "Computer" icon on my desktop tends to replicate itself. When I show the desktop, suddenly I see "Computer" 12 times or more. I seem to be able to re-create the problem when closing tabs in Google Chrome,...

Show Computer Icon on Desktop
I am using MDT to deploy My Windows 7 images. The WIM already has the registry that changes the name of the "Computer" icon to the PC 's name. Now I need to have the Computer icon to be shown on the desktop whenever anyone logs on. There appears to no GPO's that will turn on the Computer icon on...
