Snap and Shake don't work, the old story!

I've just upgraded to Win 7 a week ago and my Snap and Shake have never worked. I'm using the MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 with the latest drivers downloaded from MS after the upgrade. I've checked and unchecked all the boxes after reading the several threads in this forum. I would sure like to use the snap feature if at all possible. My screen res is as "recommended" and I've unchecked the Ease of access "unchanged windows(?)" box (whatever it was). So I'm stumped.

    Hello,

Make sure Aero is enabled. In the start menu, type find transparency and select Find and Fix problems with transparency.

Thanks guys for your rapid response. I followed your suggestions but nothing changed. I can't figure out if it's the mouse or what. It's the snap I was really looking forward to.

Hold down the windows button and use the left and right arrows, not on number pad.

Make sure window is not set to max.

The other way requires that you have magic fingers.

right-click on your desktop and select Personalization from the drop-down menu..
make sure that you have one of the aero themes in use - even changing your desktop picture will undo this..
..it should work then - you need to give it a good shake, though!!

NB. aero is not available in the Windows7 Home Basic version..

Thanks much guys! The keyboard solution worked well for me and after reading a couple of the articles I got the mouse solution working! I appreciate the help very much.

I'm still reading and fiddling around trying to get Snap to work........I'm hopeful that some of the stuff you've sent me will provide the answer.
