MSDNAA Windows 7 issue - Help please:(

So here's the deal. I recently downloaded Winds 7 Professional from MSDNAA, but the download randomly stopped half way through and told me it was finished, but it only had about 1GB out of 3GB downloaded. I burned it to a disc and the weird thing is on the disc it shows up as 3GB, but when I tried to run the disc it gave me an error. (I tried running it from the desktop. I'm not sure if the full edition needs to be booted from the disc at computer start-up for anything to pop up or if something should still come up if started from the desktop.)

So after this I tried to download it again and lo and behold it stops about halfway through telling me it's finished. The problem is I can't download it again. There is a 2-download limit and I'm pretty much screwed. I e-mailed the administrator like it said to do so, but that was 2 days ago and they haven't gotten back to me.

This is all especially urgent because as you know the RC expires next week so I need that download more than ever. Are any of you familiar with MSDNAA? Have you had this issue? Any tips?

    Thanks in advance.

Really? I didn't know that. I was using Firefox. The actual download window doesn't specify what it's using though. All I did on Firefox was download the "downloader" application which when clicked on brings up it's own window not related to IE or FF. How would I make sure that the Downloader isn't using Firefox?

    Well here's mine
It's an application I downloaded off Firefox, but the app itself isn't running off firefox as far as I know. Is this issue really because of Firefox? Will I have to re-download the app on IE or something?

I just hope my school gets back to me. It's been about 2 days and it would suck if I don't get a response before the end of this week and have to drop more than $100 on a retail version.

    Why do you ask?

Do you know if there's a workaround with MSDNAA? I guess technically I could download the 32-bit version, but I would much rather have the 64-bit to take full advantage of my system. I could even download Vista, but I definitely don't want to do that.

I thought I remember some of the versions being good until June 2010, but shutting down every 2 hours starting in March

I also learned, the hard way, that large .ISO file downloads from Microsoft sites are less problematic when using Internet Explorer. I do not attribute this to IE.

Use IE and you'll be fine. You don't need any special add-ons etc just open it and go for it
