    Windows Service Removal..


    OK, I know the services in windows are all located in

    Hkey_local machine>system> services

    But which one folder is the windows update service in?
      My Computer

    I'm assuming that you wish to remove Windows Update. Why not just disable it in services.msc, or the Control Panel?

    Yes, I want to remove windows update, but I want to remove it completely! (beyond the point of no repair) if thats possible...

    Simply disabling the service does not cut it for me...

    try this...from regedit..
    Hkey_local machine>system>Controlset001>Services update

    then change the start key to 4..
