    Black Screen after Installation

Ive just installed Win7 Ultimate 32-bit on my laptop HP Pavilion dv2899ee. The laptop display was fine after the installation but once i restart, i receive black screen. I'm currently using an external monitor. Ive already re-installed win7 using the external monitor then after that the laptop display is fine again then reboot>>black screen. Need help on how to fix this

''Make This My Main Display'' - worth a shot.

What other options do you have under display? Did you install all drivers?

Ive downloaded and installed the driver for win7 from the NVIDIA site. When i choose Show desktop on 2, the external monitor shuts down but the laptop display won't turn on. I only installed video, card reader and wireless drivers. Ive also downloaded the Upgrade Advisor and my laptop passed.

Are you seeing anything on your computer or are you referring to a Black Desktop? Have you tried playing around with the Multiple Display drop down menu? What other options are on the drop down menu other than "Show Display Only On 1" - is there an option to extend desktop ontop monitor 2?

Ok, when you right click on your desktop are you clicking "Screen Resolution" or did you see the NVIDIA Control Panel? If you see the NVIDIA Control Panel, click on that and you should see a setting that says "Set Up Multiple Displays", let me know.
