    Win7 RC1 really coming April 10th!!

As stated already a few times: the JCXP article was incorrect and as a result has been pulled from their frontpage and forums...

Just in... from a very reliable source. Windows 7 build 7105 is the Release Candidate build. Not just the escrow, but the final RC build. It is set to be released to the public from Microsoft in three days, on April 10th.

The build that just leaked, 7077 is also the RC, because 7105 is just 7077 re branded, for marketing purposes.

As with any rumor, things change. But, this is the current plan with Microsoft. I guess we will have to wait and see...

Source: Windows 7 Build 7105 to be RC... public release in 3 days! - JCXP Forums

I think the bold quote in the middle isn't true, because I saw this at Changes in Windows 7 Build 7077 | Redmond Pie :

UAC is yet to get that all important update which Microsoft promised on their E7 blog back in February 2009.

this might be a dumb question, but what's the difference between RC and RC-Escrow?

is the RC going to have a different expiration date...i remember seeing it somewhere as expiring on June 2010

Yeah, the only "Escrow" I know is the place I add more money to my mortgage payment in order to cover my prop taxes LOL

I really don't know the meaning of this term as it relates to Windows 7

    Just Curious

Why don't they release 7077 as official built? It contains a few more sevens as 7105 .

aint i saying and arguing with other for days? there is no way "public" would officaly see ANY build that is only 6 days old. Also again people, stop dreaming about 7105. It wont happen, EVER. we will see something over 7120 some day in lets say 2 months.

If MS is just now asking testers to test upgrading by deleting 7, reinstall Vista and then reinstall 7 via upgrade I would guess it will be several months before we see a RC1. Hopefully before the beta expires.

    Just my guess.

I can't understand all the scramble to download the latest rumoured issue, the last official Microsoft issue was the 7048, downloaded from M/S site complete with activation key,

This works perfectly well, no bugs,

I leave it to others to run around like headless chickens, each one trying to out do the other.

RC1 will be my next move, from the official site, you can keep your dodgy downloads.
