Windows 7: Cursor Flickering

Cursor Flickering

mu cursor has just started flickering when i move it, it goes from the arrow to I

i just noticed this morning

i'm doing a virus scan just now, i'll try malwarebytes when it's finished.

So does mine when I move over text on the screen, and always has done.
mines is doing it on a blank space in the box (when replying to you), does yours also do this?


i've just noticed it this morning, i've had 7 installed since it came out and never noticed it

No, unless I type through the cursor.
this is a wee clip of it in this reply box, as you can see, in a blank section of the box it still flickers

Oh no, not like that it doesn't. I think you've already take the first steps to try and sort it, so report back when your scans are complete.

Have looked at your video, I did in fact have a similar problem a couple of years ago and that turned out to be an iffy driver for my mouse. Perhaps if you go into Device Manager and check out your mouse it might reveal something. Can't do any harm anyway. Have you a spare mouse you could try?

What else are you running when you get this? I've had this happen when coming near to overclocking, so if you're straining your comp too much, don't.
