Can not save files. Please help

When I try to save anykind of files. It either says can't find specific location or it does nothing. Usually in other versions of windows it would bring up a box to let you rename the file you are saving and select where to save it to. I have nothing. Also, in word 2007. I' am unable to save there. I hit the save and nothing or the save as. Not done yet. When trying to upload anything to the web. I will hit the browse folder button and nothing happens. I would be very thankful to anyone that could help me with these problems!!

    Welcome

Did you upgrade or perform a clean install for your Windows 7 ?

If you made an upgrade the best solution is a clean install. We will be glad to help, if needed.

Is this a new problem or you were never able to save?

Lets try to pinpoint the problem. Use this administrator, to save, and tell me if it works

Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable

If not, try to save in safe mode, using the above administrator.

If you still cannot save, using the above administrator, type CMD in search. Do not hit enter. Right click and then run as administrator.

In cmd type sfc /scannow. If it finds errors run it three times, then try to save.

In cmd type sfc /scannow. I must be an admin to do this. I am the only person on this computer. I thought that I was the admin.
