Bluetooth settings will not stay enabled

So here is the problem I suddenly have - did use always bluetooth to synchronize calendar and contacts with Outlook 2007 on my PC and my mobile phone. Today suddenly the sync option has dissapeared, and when I go to settings from bluetooth tray icon, sync with Outlook is disabled. I enable all settings, click apply, OK, then I re-open settings window and all is disabled again What can it be? I'm out of ideas what to do now. So far did try:

    • updated broadcom bluetooth drivers
    • deleted phone from pc and re-added
    • re-installed Outlook

Nothing has helped. Under XP (I have dual boot) I am able to use sync without any problems, just 7 doesn't more let me I am using built in Administrator account with UAC and DEP and such stuff all disabled.
    Any ideas?

Check in services.msc to see that these dependencies are enabled:

    Dependencies:

What service Bluetooth Support Service needs to function properly:
    Remote Procedure Call (RPC)(S, HB, HP, P, U, E)
    DCOM Server Process Launcher(S, HB, HP, P, U, E)

All those are at auto and started. I made other user account and it's working there, so there is something wrong with my Administrator account. But how to reset that account? It is not possible to delete it under advanced system settings as other accounts and then just let windows re-configure all settings and desktop like it is done when first logging in. If I delete the Administrator with Ubuntu live CD, will the account be re-made normally, or I expect to have problems?

It sounds as though the account that you are referring to is your regular account with administrator privileges, not the built-in admiistrator account. You might enable it, if you haven't already, to see if the problem remains there also:

it didn't help too, it found no problems with my files. So I went right ahead and booted with Ubuntu CD and deleted Administrator under users (had to run "sudo nautilus" to be able to delete, otherway got message I don't have right to do it). After that I booted to the new user I made before, deleted CID for Administrator under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList (Corrupted user profile | HelpLine | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle) and now I got clean Administrator account, just need to configure again cause all settings are obviously gone. Did check the bluetooth settings already, they all selectable now :) So this is fixed, I can go sleep finally
Thanks to everyone who did try to help :)
