I think I got lucky with the RC March 1 expiration date

I dont know why: Ive been on my computer starting at 2pm and I have not received a warning or notice about the RC restarting bi hourly and it hasn't restarted at all! Ive been on for four and a half hours so far.

    Hmmmm...interesting...no complaints though.

    EDIT

Ok, now im depressed again.I just noticed this and ive got about an hour and 15 minutes left until i start dealing with the shutdowns. (i dont want to pay for 7 right now)

Checked your sys specs (OP, I mean), your system is not the cheapest one. Please understand my point is just to tell my opinion, not advice or criticize, but would't cost of Seven be only a fraction what you have already invested on your rig?

Does anyone know if the bihourly restarts start exactly two hours after the RC expires? (5:59pm in my case). Just wondering because now it is 8:08pm my time and i haven't had anything happen.

I'd upgrade your CPU - these old Athlons are superseded before you clean install 7.

Thanks for the link but i was aware march 1 being when they begin, i was more wondering why i haven't experienced a shutdown yet.

As for the cpu, in order to make a upgrade thats worthwhile, i would need to fork over a couple large ones for a new mobo and quite possibly RAM on top of a new RTM Windows 7 Ultimate. My funds depend on what season it is as I am a teenager and I work a seasonal job.:)
