Flickering thumbnail bug is back

Hey all,

in the past I did post the same issue. No luck, so I did go back to XP...

So I thought: why not try again Windows 7?

I did a clean install (formated my C:, installed 7...), installed drivers... updated some stuff through Windows Update... And for my surprise, the bug was back again, this time started really fast (did use the system for 30min and from that time till now the bug appears and dissapears in the speed of light...)

Last time I guess wasnt clear about what my problem was... And I saw many answers to people with the same kind of issues, which didn't correspond to what the problem really is...

So now I did make a video, showing it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onk6y_55SU8

I'm already using the latest video drivers, and its a clean install. Just did install it.

I can't use Windows 7 with this bug, because even when using ALT + TAB, it appears and dissapears! So I can't change from one window to another.... Just after lots of effort (and luck).

Any advice is appreciate.

Thanks

I have a DELL Vostro 1510. Did update specs here in the forums.

The Windows 7 was bought from a store here in my city. My notebook originally came with Windows Vista.

Don't get old drivers if you can help it. They are not WDDM 1.1 compatible.

No. Nothing seems to solve this issue.

The registry entry is correct already (as showed in the attachment).

I've updated the INF and also did try the latest Vista 32 drivers... No luck.

This is really annoying, I barely can post here because It's simply too hard to switch between windows.

I never tried it myself, but there is Aero troubleshooter Open the Aero troubleshooter Don't know if it will be any help, but doesn't hurt to try I guess. Good luck!

It said it couldn't identify the problem.

I checked my "device manager", everything is ok (no yellow marks).

Also, another thing I've noticed, is that it always happens when MSN is running and I receive a message, so it starts blinking. Then when I hover it, the bug happens.

When MSN is opened, but I'm not talking to anyone (and nobody is talking to me) it seems it doesn't happen... So maybe its MSN related? I need to do more tests in order to confirm that.
