    How many computers?

I am running Vista on my laptop, Vista and XP on my main computer and XP on my wife's notebook. If I purchase a windows 7 Home Premium upgrade can I upgrade all my computers to Windows 7 or just one? Nowhere can I find any info on thisover here in the UK

    Hello bradac, welcometo Seven Forums!

1 license key = 1 install to one PC, unless you can purchase a Volume License Key to do multiple PCs.

Just one. One key one computer like it always has been. Unless you buy the family pack which is no longer being offered by Microsoft.

Hello Brad, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can only install and activate one Windows 7 on one computer per product key number. If you have a retail Windows 7 version, then you can install and activate it on another computer, but it must be completely uninstalled from any any prior computer first.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Thanks all for your information. Because of no family pack anymore I've now got to decide on which computer to upgrade- decisions, decisions, decisions.

At NewEgg, you can still get a 3-pack. This happens to be Ultimate, but they also have other editions.

I'm guessing that this poster likely doesn't want to spend $500+ to put Windows 7 on his computers.

As long as it's understood by the OP that those are OEM and not retail and can only be installed to one machine and the individual keys can never be moved to another PC if need be.

It is still $400 cheaper than buying 3 full individual licenses. Everything is relative. But then you can also get 3 OEM Home Premium for $315. So there are choices.
