no hibernate option?

    no hibernate option?


    ok i know this may sound a little wierd as im on a desktop, but according to powercfg -a my pc can hibernate, there is an option to set it to the power button, but it doesnt show up in the shut down menu,

    is there a way to get it on there?

    Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings.

    thanks carl, was overlooking the obvious as usual, had hybrid sleep enabled, thats why it wasnt coming up *doh* rep coing your way

    Thank you for the rep and I'm glad I could help. I just happened to be exploring that issue today because I did not know what hybrid sleep was. I disabled both hibernation and hybrid sleep for my desktop.
