Welcome and glad you asked your first question.
We are all been in your place at some time in the past and have just learned by education and or by making many mistakes.

Your question:
.pub extenstion is a file created by Microsoft Publisher.
Do you have MS Publisher?
If you do I would open Publisher first and open that file by opening from the menu.

Please give us a little more information if you have Publisher.
