Hi! My name is <insert name here> New here, been lurking the forums for about a month. Did some searches...here's my questions:
Preface: I am using Build 7057
1.) I am having frequent hangups, like randomly a program will gray out and i cant even shut down the process or process tree.
2.) So many negative reviews, any advice on 7077?
3.) My G15 Keyboard suddenly stopped allowing me to use my volume/track skip/etc buttons, Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, tried the software...nothing.
4.) Glad to be here!
Believe I'm going to use 2 hardrives and wipe clean, one with xp and one with 7, just wanna know if wiping clean to 7077 is worth it.

First, this is beta software. Always use the latest available. So before we begin get 7077 and do a clean install. Upgrades will often exhibit issues noted.
1) We need a complete list of the software categorized by in-box (came with Windows) or 3rd-party (installed after) Most of the "not responding" stuff is due to "cool" programs that hack the OS.
2) I see nothing but positive reviews and folks with some configuration problems. Go 7077.
3) G15 software is the culprit for #1 above I bet. Wait for them to create some hackware that they support under 7. Until then, clean install 7077 (format the drive!) and do NOT install Logitech hackware for another OS.
4) We're glad you're here too. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number baarod/MCP OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit CPU Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.6GHz 9x400FSB Motherboard Gigabyte G33M-S2H Memory 4GB DDR2 1066 Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4670 Sound Card Integrated Azalia Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL1711 Screen Resolution 1280x1024 Keyboard Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 4000 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Lasr Mouse 5000 PSU 240W TFX Case InWin BT566 Cooling Intel Retail Stock Hard Drives OCZ Vertex SATAII w/ 1.5FW 30,528MB system and apps

1.) Mostly Firefox, WMP, and applications on USB devices like Share Drive stuff.
2.) I read a nasty thread on here called "Going Back to Windows XP" where people stated 7077 was really bad comparatively, I suppose I'll just check it out, what can it hurt.
3.) The G15 worked fine until two nights ago..randomly stopped working..Don't think it's the software.
4.) Thank you! And thanks for the response! | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Build -7600- (x64) CPU Phenom Quad-Core 9550 Motherboard Foxconn RS780G Memory 6 Gigs, Corsair + Sound Card Realtek HD, Soundblaster Audigy Monitor(s) Displays 22" Widescreen Westinghouse Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Hard Drives Seagate 640Gig |

FWIW - 7077 seems to have minor issues, but anyone who goes back to XP over 7077 is a moron.
For the first time since I built this rig, I am using less than 33% of my RAM at idle and less than 3% CPU cycles at any given moment on any given core.
And I have not installed any drivers except for that of my ScanJet 7400C.... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number The Beast Model V OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 SP1 | Windows 8 build 7989 CPU Core i7 965 EE @3.6 GHz Motherboard eVGA x58 Classified3 Memory 3 * 4GB Mushkin Enh Redline CL7 DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3-12800) Graphics Card eVGA 560 Ti 448 Core Calssified + eVGA GTX260 SSC (PhysX) Sound Card Realtek HD Audio (onboard) Monitor(s) Displays 2 * Acer X213Wbd Screen Resolution 2 * 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Keyboard Mouse Logitech MX Revolution '06 PSU ThermalTake BlackWidow TX TR2 850 W Case ThermalTake Level 10 GT (Black) Cooling Corsair H100 CPU | 2 * TT 140mm TriLED | 2 * Antec TriCool Hard Drives 1 * Intel X-25M G2 80 GB SSD Sata II |

Upgrading to 7077 fixed both problems...interesting. I'm going to look around on the forums and see what else has been figured out about 7077. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Build -7600- (x64) CPU Phenom Quad-Core 9550 Motherboard Foxconn RS780G Memory 6 Gigs, Corsair + Sound Card Realtek HD, Soundblaster Audigy Monitor(s) Displays 22" Widescreen Westinghouse Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Hard Drives Seagate 640Gig |
