I don't really understand.

Your second screenshot is the main Control Panel window. The first screenshot is the Personalization window.

Hello sam49.

The first snip is the personalize window from Vista and it's been changed in Windows 7, to get there in W 7 r click an empty spot on the desktop and select personalize.

In the second, at the top right at the "View By" select large icons to get the classic view for the control panel in Windows 7.

Hi Guys

Ok guys it look like i have got myself in a bit of a state for nothing.
I was just looking round my system and i noticed that when i went into the control panel it looked different than i thought it looked before and the two images i posted the first one was taken from a web site and the second was from my computer.
The reason i did this was i though my control panel should look like the one in the first image and not like the second image, so i was trying to return the settings to the default.
But if i understand Bare Foot Kid in his post correctly the second image i posted is how my control panel should look in windows 7

So panic over guys i feel such a fool but i was convinced something had changed and i wanted it to return as it was

I have posted a image of how my contol panel looks when i follow Bare Foot Kid advice. so is this how my control panel should look please.

So it looks like i was worrying for nothing
