    Need Help Please *


    Hi to all, Iam new to this forum ,
    I have a doubt , im developing dot net application to a client, I want to disable start menu functionality .
    I have done in Vista by removing
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8}")
    value.

    But In windows7 im getting erroe while deleting this value.

    Please give me suggestions.

    Theres a program called ''Disable Startup'' it should be a freeware if I remember correctly, try Googling it, I think it will help you out.

    I also pretty sure that you can achieve the same result by using local security policies and such, which would be the recommended way as opposed to blindly deleting registry values...

    If you are talking about "Start Killer", then it will only hide the start orb, you can still access the start menu by pressing the [WIN] key

    Hi gladson,
    I know about start killer and using now. and im disabling win keys by code also. in windows 7 when we clik on start menu place , the menu showing again. i want to disable that functionality also. Could make it posible ...

    As I said, Start Killer will only hide the start orb. You can still click on the location to get the start menu.
