Where the heck is My Documents now?

So wee just got used to using my documents, then it changes in Vista. Now I've moved to W 7, but if I click on My Documents it tells me I'm not allowed to open that link.
I can feel frustration levels rising already Can anyone tell me if it's moved?

Hello Boris, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It's C:\Users\(user-name)\My Documents by default in Windows 7. You can also type shell:Personal in the Start Menu search box to open it to see where it is located.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

You cannot click on that location, as it is a special type of folder known as a Junction. This is there for backwards compatibility with older programs written for XP and earlier OSes.

C:\Users\<UserName>\My Documents is the junction. The actual documents folder is C:\Users\<UserName>\Documents
