    Thanks all for your input.

Osholt: If I enter clip.exe in RUN and click enter the RUN window just disappears so I don't understand that.

Bare Foot Kid: I have saved the link to that tutorial so thank you. I have another question about some files in W7 that don't respond so I may try entering a screen shot of the files in due course.

Jacee: I am not much of a techie so your link was a little beyond me but I will have another look. Thanks anyway.

    Judesman.
I'm sorry that didn't work for you; I recommend then that you use the snipping tool as previously mentioned.

Sorry to interrupt, but that is normal as you've executed a run command. Do a search of your C:\ drive (or whatever you have your OS on) from within windows explorer by typing in clip.exe (or just clip) in the search window.

Should find it in c:\windows\system32 and c:\windows\winsxs. If you have 64-bit it will also be in c:\windows\sysWOW64

    clip

This exe redirects output from another command so just entering by itself will cause the behaviour you describe. It is found at the places mentioned in a previous post. If you type "clip /?" at a prompt you will see the attached results.

Cato and Hammerhead: Thanks, I am glad that there isn't anything wrong with run. I have located the file through a search in explorer so all is well. I think I will stick with the Snipping Tool that seems to do all that I need.

Thanks everyone. I an going to mark this as resolved now.

Snipping Tool is nice, but the clip enables you to edit text instead of having it saved as a graphic file. I will admit in most cases one isn't interested in editing, but it's a good feature to be aware of.

Thanks Cato, that is noted. I am trying to sort out all sorts of things with W7 and Office 2007 at present. The trouble is I am not much of a techie but I am learning fast.

Now running PP 2010, am trying to insert a Jpeg from Galley. But when I tried to use Clip board it would not open Clipboard to insert into PP.What am I doing wrong? I should be able to move slides from Galley without a Clipboard. Drag and Paste doesn't work either. God knows I miss that Clipboard! Thanks for any help. Cataloochee
