cant create new folders and no open with options

for some reason when i right click i cant create a new folder or anything else in the same catergory that new folder is usually in. i know what im doing not a novice i just havent got the option. When im in a folder there is a button called new folder and that does nothing! the only way i can do it is make a copy of a folder and rename it.

also the open with options dont appear on right click either i know they dont appear on everything but they dont appear at all

dont know where these things have dissapeared to!

    Hi.
From reading some of your other posts I'd do a repair install or go the whole hog and start from a fresh clean install, I know it's probably not what you're looking for, but again, due to some of the issues you've had, might be worth trying.

    Hello Totalguy,

You might see if using the tutorials below may be able to restore them for you to try and avoid a install.

Open With Context Menu Item - Add or Remove

    and

New Context Menu - Remove & Restore Default Menu Items

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
