So Windows 7 has no way to search for multiple files now? You need a 3rd party app to do that. There must be a way. If the "comma" is not the right thing to use and "or" does not work anyone have an idea? If it was "or" it would be the biggest joke ever. I do searches for 20-30 numbers all day long and if you had to type in "or" for a seperator that would well be very Microsoft of them...

I don't know what are you doing wrong, but it works like hell!

filename OR filename OR filename OR etc.

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Ok capital OR works. Thats great...Much better than just a comma.. Who's great idea was that?

Some of the things they change to make it easy? Is it easy to hit one button or to Control OR...hmmmm Must have to be an engineer to figure that one out.

I just read a blog about the ability to get the same EXACT function in searching as in win2000 and XP....it's been over 2hrs and I can't find it again and I'm having an anxiety attack looking for it

Windows 7's search feature is BY FAR better than XP's. Just index your entire hard drive (or locations you are likely to search) and type "anything" you remember about that file. That's the keyword: "anything". You don't have to remember file names like you had to do with XP.

As quite a few of the posts suggest, the OR keyword works just fine to achieve what the OP was trying.

In the old XP i could simply go to search and specify date, documents, pics, etc. This is completely useless for me If I had known this I would never have brought a PC with windows 7
