I don't know how much "source" knowledge this guy has, but it is very interesting reading.

I kind of favor one reader's comment seen at Windows 7 Center Forums - View Single Post - Build Release Windows 7 Build 7106 x86 & x64 (Chinese) [CONFIRMED]
With all the hooo blah on the 7100 numbers lately not one genuine article has surfaced so far. The indications are that the only public RC labeled as beta #2 won't be seen until the end of May to start with.
Did you read the article?
It is not a big jump, if you follow through the authors reasoning.
By the way. Where did you read the May release, should there be one, is Beta2?
The term Beta 2 is now being seen at various blogs when mentioning the upcoming RC1. The problem with that is the RC stage is past beta all together at that point. The Aoril 1st date is far from meaning it is available for regular testers as well since that is still internal.
You can see the 7077 had been around a bit before that was leaked. "Property Value
Build Lab 7077.winmain_win7rc.090404-1255" That was likely compiled around the beginning of March there.
