My screensaver and my power options are constantly chan

I set my screensaver to "Photos" but it is automatically being reset to "None". The same with my Power options. I set the monitor to never shut down. But then it is being reset to 20 minutes.
My suspicion is that this happens when I change the Desktop background - but not always. Any ideas?

Not sure if this has any significance at all, but when I RD into my machine, my wallpaper slideshow is messed up, and the background stays whatever it was when I logged in.

I suspect it is a certain program changing the settings. I know that's not very specific, but maybe that will get the brain juices flowing.

I just changed my background and it didn't affect the screen savor or the power.
Did you recently download any Window's updates?

Thanks Jonathan. But my problem is slightly different. Nothing gets really messed up - just the Monitor timing and my screensaver setting go back to default. I never have this problem in Vista.

Last updates were from 3/20. But it also happened already before. I suspect my own desktop background folders that do that. It is not a big deal, just an annoyance.

On occasion I have seen my Monitor setting gets changed from Never to 20min also. I need to check it more often to see when it gets changed.
