A question about Virtual Hard Drives????

Hi, I plan to create a VHD or virtual hard drive inside my alternate disk partition (D.

Let's say, I make a 15GB VHD, can I really boot an operating system from it??? Or is it possible to keep a system image backup in it that I can then make a recovery from in case my system fails????

I've used that tutorial myself and it's easily understood; though you would be better off to use a 3rd party program to create a system image to use to recover you PC, have a look at the link below. (it's free)

Yes, I have found info about this Macrium Reflect Free Edition on another forum. In fact, I have its installer setup but not using it yet. But I'd rather stick with the system repair disk thing as I have already created one on a CD. I need an external hard disk to save system image backups though.
