    Remove file Permissions

I recently installed W7 64 bit on a new PC and all my documents are stored on an external HDD however I cant access them without my admin password. What I want to do is completely remove any file permissions so they are assessable to everyone on the computer.

    Can this be done?

    Thanks

Either select all the files or the folder(s) they are in. Right click, go to Properties -> Security (tab) -> Edit -> Click "HomeUsers" and tick the "Full Control" box. Then just hit OK and you're done.

    Hello Burtie,

    You could use "Everyone" instead.

    Hope this helps,
