PC doesn't hibernate; locks instead

I did this on my laptop as I read it worked for others and now I cannot get my laptop to boot anymore.

After I shut down I got the following on screen on my next attempt to boot up:

"Loading DRMX V8.00...

DRMK Version 8.00

Am I screwed? How can I boot my computer back up normally again? Did I lose my C: drive data?

Thanks for the reply.

Found out today that the "fix" from this thread earlier "torched" my partition and the computer can no longer boot. I did not lose my data but I now need to save it all and do a fresh install of windows.

Sorry about reviving this post, but this worked in a W10 Dell Laptop which, sometimes, insists in not hibernating, despite no pending updates, drivers or whatnot. After refreshing the active boot partition it immediately hibernated. After MANY other checks and attempts this one really solved. Thank you!
