What would you do with your PC(s) without the internet

When I retired from large systems in the mid 90's, there was not much of an internet. And there were not many electronic cameras, camcorders, MP3 players, etc. around either. In my job I was connected with a terminal to several thousand large systems within the company, but that was only for inside the company.
At the time I walked past a PC shop every day, but could not see a need for such a box - especially as they were still quite expensive. So it took me until 2007 and Vista to buy the first PC.
Looking back, I was just wondering what you would do with your PC(s), if they took the internet and all the electronic gadgets away. Just curious.

    I'm thinking it's a bit too late.... It's already a crazy world.

What would I do without conectivity?
Well, I guess I'd have to go out and buy half a dozen TV sets 'cause nobody in my family has one.

Smart family. I have not watched TV in years. Why pay for commercials.

I'd probably do something crazy, like read, or go for a walk now and then.

Of course, back in the day, computers were a stand alone little box that still executed perfectly workable software. I was even able to use one to (OMG!) write papers for college and do (gasp!) CAD on mine. And spreadsheets, too! All without any connectivity at all. (Heresy!)

    Just sayin'

These are all good answers of what one could do. But the question was:

What would you do with your PC(s) without the internet hat would you do with your PC(s) without the internet

I wonder if PC's would have developed as far as (or in the direction) they have without the internet. In answer to your question, use it to play games, write reports/quotes etc., plan work projects and as a tool to collate information I find in books that I need. I'd also use it for storage of media files such as digital photographs etc..

Gaming, lots of gaming. I do that enough now, but if the internet didn't exist, I guess my PC would become nothing more than another console.

Or maybe I would spend more time outside like I did when I was a kid. None of the technology we have now existed in the 70's, and back then all I did everyday was play football with friends. That was our entire existence.

    Man, how times have changed...
