    peek at desktop not working


    The "Use Aero Peel to preview the desktop" option is grayed out (disabled) on my taskbar properties. Why is this?

    Hi guest
    You need to have the "Aero" running for the "Peek at desktop" to be live. Click anywhere on your desktop then click "Personalize" the click on any one of the Aero themes and "Peek at desktop" will work.

I'd like to know how to 'turn off' (untick the ghosted ticked tickbox) the "use aero peek to preview the desktop" as displayed in the 'Taskbar and Start Menu Properties' pane. I don't use aero and suspect this shouldn't be ghost ticked.
